I got a copy of the 2008 Green Zebra Guide, a savings book featuring green products and services in the Vancouver area. Craig and Regi are tireless green crusaders and this business venture of their’s is a real winner. There are 250 pages of coupons for everything from groceries to office supplies to yoga to dry cleaning. Green Zebra is a new publication that makes it easy and fun to explore the best of sustainable living in Vancouver. The guide acts as a directory and coupon book for local companies offering products and services that are good for people s health, their community, and the planet. The books run for $25 and if you just use four or five coupons you’re saving lots of cash. Heck…if you use the John Fluevog coupon you can do a happy giggle dance over what you’ve saved in one coupon.
Green Zebra Vancouver donates a portion of 2008 guide proceeds to the City Farmer Youth Education Garden. Teaching students to become self-sustaining stewards of their environment, City Farmer is committed to promoting environmental awareness through hands-on explorations of our natural surroundings.
Green Zebra is also a handy reference tool. Numerous articles present simple action steps that even busy people can take in pursuit of a more healthy and sustainable lifestyle. The green community supports the Green Zebra guide. Non-profit organizations such as BEST and City Farmer, which have been working towards a more sustainable future, noted their appreciation of Green Zebra s effort to introduce the public to some of the environmentally conscious alternatives.
