TB Vets Charitable Foundation
In July 2008, TB Vets Charitable Foundation took on Green Zebra as an exciting new fundraising initiative. With TB Vets’ mandate to “help BC breathe,” the environmental awareness component of Green Zebra was a perfect fit. TB Vets is also proud to share Green Zebra’s focus on healthy, thriving communities. As a locally-based non-profit organization, TB Vets has been a champion of social sustainability in British Columbia for more than six decades.
TB Vets began in 1946 as an employment opportunity for war veterans, providing a service for returning lost keys to British Columbians.
Today, through programs such as the well-known keytag campaign, TB Vets continues to fund respiratory equipment, research, and education with more than $10 million contributed over the past ten years. The organization continues to model social responsibility, offering employment to people with disabilities.
